Plot of the Narrative
Being that this project is our last, it is fitting to do a homage to the tel-t 273 fall 2015 fall semester. The story will revolve around us, Kyle Gentry, Sheehan Probst, Joshua Schleer and my self, (Pelican Productions), coming up with an idea for a project that was assigned in class, something along the lines of a pilot for an upcoming season of our "real life."
The Treatment
The composition will be much like an episode of the office. We will all throw around ideas much like we would in real life, only there will be cut ins, or asides, of us confessing to the camera. The camera will take on a persona itself, sort of like a tell all.
Breaking down the Scenes and Scenarios.
Opening scene
A brief cheesy intro of all us waving and turning to look at the camera with a paused smile, as a catchy jingle mingles in the background. It's an introduction to the group and our characters, which is ourselves. ending with a close up of our production sign.
scene 2
Breakways in our cars: There will be a camera mounted on each of our dashboards as we get ready to meet up to work on our project. Each of us will share our excitment, or lack there of, as we're cruising to our destination. (jump cuts in between each person's personal response)
Scene 3
(jump cut into our "office")
(wide angle shots of the brainstorming that is taking place.)
(pans of us going around the space.) As ideas float around, we will all have jump cuts to an aside, with comments on what was said, or what was happening. (this will be done with direct eye contact to the camera, in a sort of break away moment)
The conclusion of the peice will be handles with a realisation that we already have the materials to make a pilot, by making a pilot for this class.
The last shot will be all of us turning in our chairs to look at the camera as if we had an epiphany.
